Rappers’ Sorry Refrain
Oh, the indignities visited upon those poor Murderers (“No Album Out Yet but Rappers Still Under Fire,” by Soren Baker, March 11)! They put “a racial epithet toward African Americans” on their record and then criticize Universal Music, their accomplice--oops, I mean their label--for letting them use it. Black Entertainment Television, for some reason (probably racism), won’t post their name, even though MTV is happy to broadcast it to their audience of middle-class white kids.
How are Murderers supposed to make this world a better place for art and love with all this censorship and oppression around them?
