The City Council approved a motion to spend as much as $70,000 on furnishings and equipment for the council chamber at its meeting last week.
The City Council approved expanding City Hall in August to include a council chamber for public meetings. The cost includes $20,000 for sound and video systems as well as $27,000 for furniture in the chamber and connected offices.
