Woodland Hills Theatre presents F. Andrew Leslie’s stage adaptation of “The Haunting of Hill House,” opening Friday in Canoga Park. Shirley Jackson’s novel has been the source for at least three feature films. It deals with a small group of “psychically receptive” people brought together in Hill House, a Victorian mansion with a history.

Chamber Music
The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will play music by Mozart, Schoenberg and Strauss on Saturday in Glendale. Musical director Jeffrey Kahane will conduct Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22 in E flat minor and will be the pianist. Oboist Allan Vogel will be featured in Strauss’ Oboe Concerto in D minor. Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 2 also will be performed.

Czech Music
The Valley Symphony Orchestra will present “Czech It Out,” a concert of works by Dvorak and Smetana, Saturday at Valley College in Valley Glen. Featured will be Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances Nos. 1, 3 and 4, Opus 46, plus his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra. Thirteen-year-old violinist Yumi Man will be the featured soloist. Smetana’s overture to his opera “The Bartered Bride” and “The Moldau” also will be on the program. Robert Chauls conducts.

Chorus Concert
The Riveroaks Chorus presents “That’s Entertainment,” featuring male and female barbershop-style, four-part harmony singing, Saturday in Van Nuys.
