Thanksgiving Closures

Thursday is Thanksgiving; the following schedule will be in effect:

* Federal offices will be closed Thursday; state and county offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

* City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday except for those in La Palma, which will be closed today through Friday.

* County libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday, as will city libraries in Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Mission Viejo, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda; the Newport Beach city library will be closed Thursday only.

* Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on the posted holiday schedule.

* Metrolink trains will not run Thursday.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed Thursday and Friday. The federal district court clerk’s office will be open on Friday for emergency filings only.

* Public schools, including community colleges, will be closed Thursday and Friday. Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine will be open Friday.

* Trash will not be picked up Thursday; collection will be one day late for those whose normal day is Thursday or Friday.

* Post offices will be closed Thursday, and there will be no mail delivery. Mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up on the posted holiday schedule.

* Banks and savings and loans will be closed Thursday but will be open Friday.
