Real estate industry leaders, UCLA faculty members, community leaders and government officials will examine the Los Angeles apartment market--including the shortage of affordable housing--at the second annual UCLA Multifamily Housing Forecast Conference on Oct. 25.
The conference, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UCLA and hosted by the Real Estate Center at the Anderson School, will include presentations by developers, property owners and managers, capital sources and others involved in the region’s apartment market. It is sponsored by CB Richard Ellis and Highridge Partners.
Keynote speakers will be Chairman Nelson Rising of Catellus Development Corp. and Mayor Richard Riordan, both of whom will discuss the need for more apartments in the region.
The program will include a presentation on economic factors affecting the apartment market by UCLA economist Larry Kimball, and a forecast of future apartment demand by Stephen Cauley, associate director of the UCLA Real Estate Center.
Cost is $150 before Friday, $175 after. Information is available at https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/research/realestate/index.htm or by calling (310) 206-9424.
