STUDIO CITY — A suspected drunk driver trying to elude police in Studio City on Wednesday smashed into six cars, including one driven by actress Priscilla Presley, police said. No one was seriously injured.
Police chased 32-year-old Jacek Zareba of Los Angeles after he struck two vehicles about 4 p.m. near the intersection of Ventura and Valley Vista boulevards, police said. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.
Zareba was eastbound on Ventura Boulevard when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, said Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Presley, who was driving west on Ventura near Laurel Canyon Boulevard, almost avoided Zareba’s car, which clipped the left rear of her Land Rover, police said. She wasn’t injured. Her vehicle had minor damage.
Along the way, Zareba struck three other vehicles before he surrendered in front of an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Lee said. The chase lasted 15 minutes.
Police said Zareba was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, felony hit-and-run and evading arrest.
