La Canada 21, Temple City 0--Ryan Young rushed for two touchdowns to lead La Canada (6-1, 2-0) at Temple City (4-3, 1-0).
On the Spartans’ first possession, Tony Naples scored on an eight-yard run to cap a 10-play, 80-yard drive.
On the ensuing possession, Young intercepted a pass by Matt Malczynski at the Temple City 28, setting up Young’s first touchdown six plays later on a three-yard run.
Young scored on a two-yard run with 2:46 left in the game, which was delayed 40 minutes by injuries to two Temple City players.
The Spartans intercepted four passes while posting their fourth shutout. Lonnie Dietz had two interceptions.
