Canyons 55, West Los Angeles 17--Steve Smith rushed 18 times for 250 yards and four touchdowns for the Cougars (6-0, 4-0) in a WSC interdivisional game at Canyons.
Smith had touchdown runs of 16, 63 and 46 yards in the second quarter as the Cougars scored 24 unanswered points to lead, 38-3, at halftime.
Smith added a 37-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter before being pulled from the game.
Travis Winn completed seven of 11 passes for 98 yards, including touchdown passes of 10 yards to Michael Gomez and 40 yards to Jason d’Autremont.
West Los Angeles (1-5, 0-4) was limited to 12 yards rushing.
