L.A. Southwest 23, Moorpark 20--Erdolo Eromo kicked a 21-yard field goal in overtime and recovered Joey Casillas’ fumble on Moorpark’s last possession to secure the victory for Southwest in a WSC interdivisional game at Moorpark.
Casillas’ two-yard touchdown run with 36 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter tied the score, 20-20, with 36 seconds left in overtime.
Casillas, who rushed for 143 yards in 23 carries, also had a six-yard score early in the fourth quarter to give Moorpark (4-2, 3-0) a 13-12 lead.
L.A. Southwest (4-2, 1-2) regained the lead when Keenan Carter threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Aris Williams with 1:51 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Tim Bird of Moorpark completed nine of 21 passes for 153 yards and Nik Lewis had four receptions for 92 yards.
Moorpark had a four-game winning streak snapped.
