The Anaheim producer of convenience food products reported that net income for the third quarter totaled $1.8 million, or 16 cents a share, down 14% from $2.1 million, or 18 cents a share, a year ago. The company said higher costs for pork, combined with increased costs for transportation, health care and petroleum-based packaging, affected profit margins. Sales for the quarter ended July 28 increased 12% to $36.3 million.
