New Water Ride Takes First Plunge at Knott’s

Speaking of ride problems, Knott’s Berry Farm finally got its Perilous Plunge ride open last weekend. The ride, which sends boats over a 115-foot drop nearly straight down, was supposed to have been open for the summer season at the Buena Park tourist attraction.
Knott’s will be keeping its new Soak City USA water park, a separate admission from the amusement park, open on weekends through Oct. 22. Seems like a good idea, considering some recent days have been so hot that the horses pulling carriages on Disneyland’s Main Street have been given time off.
