Cypress Extends Streak to Four

Cypress won its fourth consecutive men’s golf match Monday, defeating three Orange Empire Conference opponents at Westridge golf course in La Habra.
The Chargers (7-4) finished with 383 strokes, followed by Orange Coast (388), Cuyamaca (391) and Santa Ana (392). Medalist Shayne Lewis shot par 72 for Cypress.
In Orange Empire Conference softball:
Santa Ana 7, Irvine Valley 0--Renee Hietbrink (12-4) pitched a three-hitter for the second-place Dons (25-10-1, 9-3). Irvine Valley is 8-19, 2-14.
