WATERBURY, Conn. — A drug dealer was sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday in the 1999 slaying of an 8-year-old murder witness and the boy’s mother.
Adrian Peeler, 25, was convicted last month of conspiracy in the shooting of Leroy “B.J.” Brown Jr. and his mother, Karen Clarke. Peeler was acquitted of murder charges that could have brought the death penalty.
Peeler is already serving a 35-year sentence on drug charges. He will serve the two terms consecutively.
