* Comarco Inc., an Irvine wireless technologies company, said Tuesday it has purchased an 18% stake in Swiss software company SwissQual AG. Financial terms were not disclosed.
* Quiksilver Inc. in Huntington Beach named Tunia Kaawa senior vice president of production. She joined the company in 1991 as a merchandiser for Quiksilver Saltwater Denim division.
* J. Randall Nelson has been named corporate vice president of Edward Lifesciences and president of the company’s North America region. Nelson was previously chairman, president and chief executive of Equidyne Corp. in San Diego.
