Long Beach State No. 3 in Women’s Volleyball

The Long Beach State women’s volleyball team is ranked No. 3 in the nation in Volleyball magazine’s preseason poll. Defending national champion Nebraska is ranked No. 1, followed by Stanford.
The 49ers return five starters from a team that finished 24-8 and advanced to the NCAA regionals. Long Beach hosts Nebraska on Sept. 1 and Stanford on Sept. 25.
