Protecting Open Space
When addressing the county supervisors race, I have noticed that the Los Angeles Times represents the preservation of open space as a liberal position. I strongly disagree with the use of liberal or conservative labels to polarize what I see as simply protecting our Golden Goose. What is the quality of life in Ventura County that makes our community different from L.A. County? What makes your home more desirable, therefore increasing its market value? It is reduced competition by massive housing developments, plus your home is surrounded by paradise (and I’m not referring to Starbucks strip malls).
Protecting open space and the value of your home is neither a liberal nor conservative issue--it is smart investment for everyone.
