One air service will enter and another will exit next month as the skies continue to churn over the Oxnard-Santa Barbara region.
On Saturday, SkyWest will begin twice-daily service between Santa Barbara and Salt Lake City, with connections via Delta Air Lines to most of Delta’s destinations in the Lower 48. Discounted introductory fares must be bought by Friday for travel Saturday through Oct. 31. Sample round-trip discounts include $427 to New York, $291 to Chicago and $430 to Washington, D.C. Tel. On Sept. 5, America West Airlines plans to end its twice-daily service between Oxnard and Phoenix. The airline, which began the service in November, said the flights were not profitable.
