In the Invitational division semifinals:
Harbor City Narbonne 38, San Fernando 6--Marcus O’Keith and Ronnie Smith combined for four touchdowns at Carson High.
O’Keith rushed for 130 yards in 20 carries and scored on runs of 34 and eight yards. Smith ran for 126 yards in 18 carries and scored on a 20-yard run and eight-yard pass.
Narbonne (7-5) had taken a 16-0 lead with 35 seconds left in the first half.
San Fernando’s Ramon Perry returned a kickoff 80 yards to the Gaucho 10, where he fumbled. Teammate Corial Allen recovered and ran in for a touchdown, cutting the Tigers’ deficit to 10 points.
San Fernando then kicked off and Narbonne’s Donnel Wheaton took it back 90 yards for a touchdown. Smith ran in the conversion, making the score 24-6.
San Fernando, which gained only 44 yards in the first half, finished 7-5.
