Cal State Northridge (1-4) at Nevada (4-2), 7 p.m.--The Matadors try to halt a surprisingly poor start in which they have been outscored by 76 points in four losses. Nevada defeated the Matadors, 85-75, on Nov. 17 at Northridge. In the Matadors’ 86-64 loss Thursday at Wyoming, Markus Carr scored 12 points and was the only Northridge player in double figures. Nevada lost to Montana, 75-68, Wednesday. Sean Paul and Andre Hazel each scored 15 for the Wolfpack.

Pepperdine (4-2) at UC Santa Barbara (4-2), 7 p.m., KPLS (830) and KEYT (1250)--Having already defeated UCLA, USC, Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton, the Waves go north to take on an improved Santa Barbara team. Pepperdine stunned USC, 78-77, on a three-point bank shot by Craig Lewis with 2.5 seconds left Thursday. Lewis finished with 19 against USC, as did redshirt freshman Terrance Johnson. The Gauchos have assembled a solid team, although they lost to Loyola Marymount, 77-70, Wednesday.
