1st Property Tax Installment Due Monday

The deadline for paying the first installment on Ventura County property taxes without facing a costly late fee is 5 p.m. Monday.
Those who miss the deadline will be assessed a 10% penalty, based on the amount of the tax owed, said Larry Matheney, assistant treasurer-tax collector for Ventura County.
Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than Monday.
