April Trial Scheduled in Clerk’s Fatal Shooting

An April 8 trial date has been set for an Ojai man charged with fatally shooting a Ventura grocery clerk during a robbery last spring.
Richard Geise, 32, will stand trial on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and seven other related charges stemming from the April 6 shooting at Central Market on Ventura Avenue.
Store employee Alejandro Alvarez, 35, was killed and two co-workers were injured.
