BOYS’ BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK

Keilon Fortune averaged 36.4 points. Then the Southern Section Division V-AA playoffs began.

The Kilpatrick guard has been even tougher to stop in two one-sided victories, scoring 45 points against Arrowhead Christian and 37 against La Sierra Academy.

He made five three-pointers in a 109-71 victory over Arrowhead Christian and had nine assists and six steals in a 93-46 decision over La Sierra Academy.

Fortune has had help. Adam Townsend scored 26 points against Arrowhead Christian and Javier Dena scored 22 against La Sierra Academy.

The Mustangs (24-1), who have never advanced this far in the playoffs, are at Serra (16-12) in a quarterfinal tonight.
