Nation Is Recovering After Failed Coup Bid

Businesses reopened and life began returning to normal after a failed coup attempt in Ivory Coast. The airport in Abidjan, the main city, reopened, and children returned to school after a holiday break. Meanwhile, security forces continued questioning at least 31 people held in the coup attempt, in which gunmen attacked President Laurent Gbagbo’s residence and state media facilities before midnight Sunday. An official at Abidjan’s main morgue said it held the bodies of 11 casualties.
