Jordan Plays in Minicamp

Washington Post

Michael Jordan, showing no sign of injury, got raves from Washington Wizard players Friday in what is believed to be his first full-scale workout since breaking two ribs a month ago.

“He’s Mike,” said Kwame Brown, who signed a three-year, $11.9-million contract before he and Jordan suited up for minicamp. “He’s still a step ahead of everybody.”

Brown said Jordan, who left the 135-minute session 15 minutes early to avoid reporters, was knocked to the floor on the opening play of full-court exercises, got up and returned to action. Said point guard Chris Whitney: “Michael was Michael. . . . He didn’t even have to try, the way he moved through screens and those type of things. He looked good.”
