A bicyclist fatally injured when he was dragged several feet by a gasoline tanker truck Thursday has been identified as a Rossmoor resident, police said.
Kim Miles Hipsher, 45, was eastbound on Katella Avenue about 7:50 a.m. Thursday when his 18-speed bike collided with the truck, which was heading in the same direction, Police Sgt. Jeff Travis said.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, Travis said. An autopsy is being performed.
Hipsher, who carried no identification, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at UCI Medical Center in Orange, Travis said.
