I enjoyed Ellen Clark’s Weekend Escape to Ramsey Canyon Preserve (“Arizona’s Nature Nurtured,” May 6). For 40 years I have been a regular visitor to that wonderful part of southeastern Arizona. But I was very surprised that Clark did not mention Sierra Vista, which is a major city in Cochise County and not far from Ramsey Canyon.
The story describes only the Ramsey Canyon Inn in Hereford, which sounds nice but cannot accommodate very many people. Sierra Vista has many excellent motels with a variety of room rates, many much lower than the $121 to $158 cited for the inn.
