Premier Quits After Election Measure Fails

Bosnia’s prime minister resigned in protest over the parliament’s failure to adopt an election law, his office said.
Bozidar Matic’s resignation followed the failure of the parliament to accept a measure that had been under discussion for years. The deadline for approving the election law was Friday.
The law was needed to govern the election of the members of the state presidency and parliament and would also stipulate the principles governing elections at all levels of authority in the country.
