From Times Wire Reports
Macedonian Slavs hurled stones and set fire to ethnic Albanian cake shops and restaurants in rioting that injured at least three people.
The melee in Bitola, about 105 miles southwest of Skopje, the capital, was triggered by the funerals of soldiers slain Saturday by ethnic Albanian rebels near the border with Kosovo.
The riots came as President Boris Trajkovski flew to Washington for meetings with President Bush and Secretary of State Colin L. Powell to seek U.S. support for his fight to contain the rebels.
