Lifeguard Tryouts to Be Held Saturday

Anyone interested in becoming a Ventura County ocean lifeguard will have a chance to try out Saturday.
The tryout will consist of a 1,000-meter ocean swim, run-swim-run events and an interview.
Applicants must be at least 17 by June 25 and bring a driver’s license. Wetsuits are not permitted.
Tryouts will begin at 8 a.m. at the Channel Islands Harbor Patrol Office, 3900 Pelican Way, Oxnard. For more information, call Dustin Sanchez at 890-6314.
