Love Ride 18, the annual gathering of more than 20,000 motorcyclists for charity, returns Sunday with a new cause--Sept. 11 disaster relief funds--in addition to the Reading by 9 program and the Muscular Dystrophy Assn.
The 50-mile course will take riders from Harley-Davidson of Glendale to Castaic Lake for a concert by Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Joe Walsh, a catered barbecue and other activities. “Tonight” host Jay Leno is again the grand marshal; actors Peter Fonda, Robert Patrick and Lorenzo Lamas are this year’s honorary grand marshals.
Riders must donate a minimum of $50. Registration runs from 6 to 10 a.m.; celebrity riders will set the caravan in motion at 9:30 a.m.
Harley-Davidson of Glendale is at 3717 San Fernando Road, between Los Feliz and Brand boulevards. Information: (818) 246-5618; https://www.loveride.org.
