43 Arrested, Heroin Seized in U.S. Probe

A sweeping federal drug investigation dubbed Operation Landslide has busted a large heroin ring, taking in more than 770 pounds of black tar heroin and netting 43 arrests in California and Mexico, the Drug Enforcement Administration announced late Thursday.
The DEA and the U.S. attorney’s office for the Northern District of California announced that 38 people were arrested in the United States, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area. .
