Fremont 42, Franklin 34--Sophomore Jelani Berry sacked Franklin quarterback Narciso Diaz just before time expired to preserve the victory for visiting Fremont. Franklin had driven 55 yards to the Fremont 24-yard line with six seconds left before Berry dropped Diaz for a seven-yard loss.
Franklin (7-3) took a 34-28 lead late in the third quarter on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Diaz to Adam Viola, but Fremont (8-2) rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdowns. Pathfinder quarterback Abe Escobar connected with Mark Bradford on a 15-yard touchdown pass to give Fremont a 35-34 lead, and Milvon James ran for a 17-yard touchdown with 1:13 left to make it 42-34. Bradford caught eight passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns, while James ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries.
