Goleta Dos Pueblos 19, Rio Mesa 0--Kyle Shotwell gained 158 yards in 24 carries and scored a touchdown to help the Chargers to their second victory of the season over host Rio Mesa.
Dos Pueblos (9-2) crushed Rio Mesa, 55-12, in the seventh game of the season, but had to work much harder in the Division IV first-round rematch.
The Chargers led, 12-0, at halftime before taking command of the game on a four-yard touchdown pass from Shane Lopes to Corey Sanchez with 6:35 left in the third quarter.
Lopes threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns in the first game against Rio Mesa (5-6), but completed 12 of 25 passes for 133 yards and was intercepted twice Friday.
