Fans who want to follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter can visit English locations where the new movie based on the bestselling book series was shot.
“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone--Discovering the Magic of Britain” highlights eight film sites. (The film was released as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” in Britain and as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in the U.S.)
They include several buildings in Oxford that doubled as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Witchery; the London Zoo, where the fictional Harry is said to have learned of his ability to talk to snakes; and London’s King’s Cross Station, where first-year wizards boarded the Hogwarts Express.
The free map-guide also lists 32 other mystical and natural attractions in Britain. It was expected to be available for order Monday from the British Tourist Authority, (866) 443-3944, https://www.travelbritain.org/moviemap.
