Officer Put on Leave After Shooting Suspect

A Las Vegas police officer is on paid leave after fatally shooting an armed man suspected of robbing dozens of area businesses during the last month.
Richard Travis Brown, 30, was shot while fleeing a 3:15 a.m. Saturday robbery when he pulled a handgun from his pocket, police said.
An officer chasing Brown on foot fired several rounds, striking the suspect three times, Capt. Dennis Cobb said. The officer was not identified.
