Former College Band Members to Perform

Former Santa Monica College band members who performed between 1966 and 1978 will dust off their old instruments today for a final performance to mark the end of a weeklong reunion.
The band is honoring music instructor Frank Turner, who is in his 35th year at the college.
Their performances will begin about noon at the Wilshire Boulevard end of the Third Street Promenade. At Broadway, band members will march to the Santa Monica Pier, where about 60 musicians will play a final time.
