Swissair will continue flying until the end of March, when regional carrier Crossair will take over its aircraft and its role as Switzerland’s national carrier under a $1.2-billion bailout approved by the Swiss parliament this month, Bloomberg News reported.... Alaska Airlines on Dec. 15 will begin flying nonstop between LAX and Cancun, Mexico. Introductory round-trip fares start at $368. On Feb. 10 it will begin flying nonstop to Calgary, Canada, from LAX. Round-trip fares start at $279.... The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has introduced a toll-free number, (877) 847-4858, for booking hotel rooms and finding show and event information. It is staffed 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
