Houston Has ‘Banner’ Week
The recent terrorist attacks on our home soil have begun a spirited patriotism nationwide from flags being flown on cars and houses to baseball stadiums replacing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” with “God Bless America” in the seventh-inning stretch. This week, the pop charts reflect the patriotic mood of the people. Whitney Houston’s famous rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” has been reissued, entering the local singles chart at No. 6 and hitting the No. 2 mark nationally.
