BIG WINNERS
* Marcus Lampkin of Twentynine Palms rushed for 308 yards in 35 carries and scored six touchdowns to lead his team to a 41-20 victory over Riverside Notre Dame.
* Frederick Collins of La Quinta rushed for 299 yards in 25 carries, caught seven passes for 71 yards and scored five touchdowns in a 34-14 victory over Yucaipa.
* Donnell Darling of Laguna Beach rushed for a school-record 266 yards and scored a school-record five touchdowns in 30 carries as the Artists defeated Santa Ana Valley, 35-14, to improve to 5-0, their best start since 1986.
* Kirk Bunch of Riverside Arlington kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired for a 17-14 victory over Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon. * Jeffrey Essig of Rancho Cucamonga kicked a 39-yard field goal with 24 seconds left for a 27-25 victory over Pomona Diamond Ranch.
* Kenny Brown of North Torrance completed 12 of 17 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown and scored on a two-yard sneak with 11 seconds left to give his team a 23-22 Ocean League victory over Inglewood.
UPSETS
* Tustin defeated Santa Margarita, 36-33.
Linebacker Brian Judd forced and recovered a fumble by Santa Margarita quarterback Marshall Tharpe at the Tustin 12-yard line with one minute left to preserve the Tillers’ victory.
* Chatsworth defeated Sylmar, 28-21.
The Chancellors won for the first time in their last nine games against Sylmar when Aldo Menjivar sacked Clarence Simpson on a fourth-and-goal play from the four-yard line with 2:49 left.
* Arroyo Valley defeated Trona, 24-13.
Arroyo Valley, playing its first limited varsity schedule, earned its first victory against previously unbeaten Trona.
