Former Worker Pleads No Contest in Hacking

From Times Staff Reports

A former employee of a Valencia company that makes guidance systems for the U.S. Department of Defense pleaded no contest Tuesday to charges that he hacked into the company’s computer system last year, officials said.

Armen Organesyan, 27, was fired from H.R. Textron in February 2000 for shutting down the company’s computer system for 24 hours.

He pleaded no contest Tuesday to one count of computer access and fraud and admitted to special enhancements, including property damage in excess of $150,000, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the L.A. district attorney.
