Council Votes to Fire City Manager

The Bell Gardens City Council has voted unanimously to terminate the employment of Maria Chacon, the former city manager who was placed on paid administrative leave over the summer.
Chacon will receive a six-month severance package. She was placed on leave after being charged with alleged conflict-of-interest violations.
