From Times Staff Reports
Hoping to build a skate park, city officials are seeking input from those who might have the best ideas: the skaters themselves.
At a 6 p.m. open house today at Ehlers Recreation Center, 8150 Knott Ave., officials hope to hear from skaters what types of ramps and other features they would like to see in such a park.
The facility would be for only skateboarders and in-line skaters. It would be a portable facility that could be moved from park to park.
