A man was shot in the head early Friday morning during a drive-by attack in North Hills, but he was expected to survive, police said.
No one has been arrested in the shooting that occurred just before 2 a.m. outside a home in the 15200 block of Gresham Street, Los Angeles Police Lt. Joe Eddy said.
“Based on his own story, the victim was walking down the sidewalk when a black 1990s Oldsmobile pulled up and fired a shot,” Eddy said. “The victim dropped to the ground, realized he’d been shot and then went to a nearby apartment complex where a good Samaritan took him to a local hospital.”
The victim, whose name was not released, was reported in stable condition with a bullet lodged in his jaw.
