A night-shift motel security guard on his lunch break early Sunday was grazed in the head by a bullet fired by one of four men who demanded his gun, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The 32-year-old guard refused to surrender his weapon to the men, who approached him about 12:15 a.m. Sunday at a restaurant in the 300 block of West Palmdale Boulevard. They shot him, took his gun and fled. He was treated at Antelope Valley Hospital and released.
