This year’s roll-out of high-speed wireless networks has opened a host of new possibilities for working, playing and shopping on the go. Companies have hyped this technology for years, and now they are betting that Americans finally will begin using their cell phones, hand-held computers and other devices to jump on the mobile bandwagon.
