City Park Outlay Set at $7 Million

A consultant hired by Laguna Beach estimates that the city had approved $7.6 million in costs for its share of a public park that is being built by the developer of the Treasure Island resort. The amount the city authorized, calculated by the Moote Group of Santa Ana, is lower than the $9 million that the Athens Group says it is owed but much higher than the initial projection of $3 million..
