A man accused of planting the equivalent of a quarter stick of dynamite in a bathroom at the Hall of Justice was arrested, and police say he is a suspect in a similar incident in the same building last week.
David Joseph Corey, 22, of San Francisco was caught Wednesday after allegedly placing the explosive in a paper dispenser in a first-floor bathroom, Deputy Police Chief Mindy Pengel said. The device did not explode.
Corey also is a suspect in an explosion at the Hall of Justice on Feb. 6. In that incident, the explosive device was placed in a paper dispenser in another restroom. The blast blew off a stall door, but no one was injured.
