Re “Holding of Afghan Fighters Challenged,” Feb. 9: I suppose it should not surprise anyone that Stephen Yagman is spearheading a coalition to come to the defense of Al Qaeda detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Who better to defend these Arab terrorists for shooting at our troops in Afghanistan than an attorney who has made his living defending urban terrorists (i.e., gangbangers and armed bank robbers) who shot at police? It seems like a natural progression.
