FitzRandolph Leads Familiar Cast for 1,000

There will be lots of familiar faces in today’s 1,000-meter men’s speedskating competition.

Among them will be American Casey FitzRandolph, who took the gold in the 500; Japan’s Hiroyasu Shimizu, who won the gold in the 500 in Nagano and was nipped for the gold here by FitzRandolph; Canada’s Jeremy Wotherspoon, who fell in the 500, and his teammate Michael Ireland.
