FEAR NO MORE: STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
A Lifetime documentary co-produced by Susan Froemke and Doug Graves, Maysles Films
Tonight at 10
One hour
Overview: This documentary addresses the nation’s high rate of physical and sexual violence against women. It explores how some women become trapped in destructive relationships and ways in which these women can regain their safety and self-dignity.
What works: By telling the personal stories of five women who were victims of violence, the producers create a picture of domestic abuse as a problem that persists because it is steeped in secrecy and shame. They also portray it as a problem that some segments of society appear ambivalent to resolving.
